Job Description
Receiving goods: Unload incoming trucks, check contents against manifests, and inspect items for damage.
Inventory storage: Sort, organize, and place stock onto pallets, shelves, or racks according to facility layout.
Order picking: Retrieve items from storage areas using picking lists to fulfill outgoing customer orders.
Packing and shipping: Wrap, securely pack, label, and load outgoing shipments into delivery vehicles.
Facility maintenance: Clean work areas, sweep floors, dispose of packing debris, and maintain safe walking paths.
System updates: Update inventory logs manually or use handheld barcode scanners to track item locations.
Requirements
Physical stamina: Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy loads (often up to 50 lbs / 23 kg) for long shifts.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate is typically preferred.Technical skills: Proficiency with basic math, handheld RF scanners, and digital inventory tracking software.Equipment operation:
